We’re deeply grateful to "The National Lottery" and the Awards for All grant for making our 12th and final "Unity The Hongkonger Community" project possible on Saturday, 20th September 2025 — a grand celebration marking a year of connection, empowerment, and growth.
Over the past 12 months, this project has supported more than 1,000 Hongkongers through a wide range of sessions and services. We extend heartfelt thanks to all our volunteers for their unwavering commitment across all 12 events.
Highlights include:
Blood pressure checks by Daniel Collins (NHS Pharmacy Services)
CV writing and cover letter workshops
Engaging exercise sessions for physical wellbeing
“Planting for Beginners” workshop
Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) information session
Police recruitment session by South Yorkshire Police
Contributions from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, ESOL Lead Tutor, and Sheffield City Council
Community networking with Rotherham Council
ESOL programs for language development
Chinese classes for children (ages 4–14) by Wendy Ling, and practical English lessons by Lee Furness
Health monitoring by Pharmersurge Partnership NHS
Employment support from The Growth Company
Together, we’ve built a stronger, more connected community. Thank you for walking this journey with us.
