CCoC Allotment Creative Explore for Children, held on Friday 31st October

We were thrilled to host “Allotment Creative Explore for Children,” a unique outdoor experience made possible through the Creative Development Grants Funding, awarded by @Children’s Capital of Culture Festival Year 2025. The programme helped children better understand food, vegetables, planting processes, topsoil, and seeds through hands-on exploration. It also inspired creativity, with children expressing themselves through drawing on raised beds in the allotment. The event was filled with fun, learning, and laughter, and it was wonderful to see families enjoying the experience together.

Thank you to everyone who made this joyful and educational day possible. It is held on Friday, 31st October from 11:00am to 2:00pm at our allotment. Although we had some showers and a few families couldn’t attend, the event was still full of joy. The children had a wonderful time drawing pictures directly onto the raised beds, and their creativity really shone through.
