Monday Lunch – August Birthday Celebration (10‑08‑2026)  On 10 August 2026, we held our first birthday celebration for members with August birthdays during Monday Lunch. The event created a warm and joyful atmosphere, especially for those who were far from their hometowns. Our August birthday members felt appreciated and supported, even while living in a new place.

This small but meaningful celebration helped members feel more connected and less isolated. Many people who have recently moved to the UK can experience loneliness, and we hoped this gathering would encourage them to participate more actively and build friendships within our community.

We were delighted to see smiles, conversations, and a sense of belonging throughout the afternoon. This first celebration marked an important step in making Monday Lunch an even more welcoming and supportive space for everyone.
