SYWHC was delighted to take part in the Rotherham Fun Fest held at Eldon Road Playing Field on 13 June 2026. The event welcomed local families and residents to enjoy a vibrant day filled with cultural activities, gardening, and children's entertainment.

Visitors experienced traditional Chinese calligraphy, where they had the opportunity to learn brush writing and appreciate the beauty of Chinese culture. A Tai Chi demonstration accompanied by music also showcased the elegance and health benefits of traditional Chinese martial arts.

The gardening stall proved popular throughout the day, offering a wide selection of herb plants and vegetable seedlings, including sage, pumpkins, shark fin melon, tomatoes, sweetcorn, and aubergines. Many visitors took home plants to grow in their own gardens.

Children had great fun in the dedicated play area, enjoying unlimited access to the entertainment activities and face painting for a small fee. The event created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, bringing together people of all ages to celebrate community spirit and cultural diversity.

SYWHC thanked everyone who visited the stalls, participated in the activities, and helped make the day such a memorable success. The event was a wonderful opportunity to promote cultural exchange, encourage community engagement, and strengthen connections within the local community.
