On 9th April 2026, our community came together for an exciting planting day at our allotment. We planted numerous seedlings across diverse vegetable varieties, enriching the soil with compost and topsoil to create optimal growing conditions. Children participated enthusiastically, learning essential planting skills and gaining hands-on experience in sustainable gardening and food production. Adults worked alongside them, sharing knowledge and fostering intergenerational learning. Our allotment empowers refugees and new migrants to grow their own vegetables, promoting food security, physical activity, and mental wellbeing. This collaborative effort strengthened community bonds while cultivating fresh produce. We're grateful to all volunteers who contributed their time and energy. More planting sessions planned ahead!
